Our Vancouver store location can get very energetic during the day. Here's a fun video of how energetic our day can get, back in the lab and out front in the store. Did you know that the lens making process used to be all done by hand? Watch the video below to learn more! In this video, Steve takes you through the history of modern lens making– specifically automated machinery. Each different machine has its own purpose and function. Are you a first-time glasses wearer– someone who has never worn glasses before, and has had good vision all your life– and wondering why your prescription feels off? It all comes down to your eyes changing and adapting to the new prescription. Imagine: your brain is completely used to seeing a certain way, and all of a sudden, you have these image-displacing lenses in front of your eyes all the time. Ultimately, your brain has to re-wire itself to work with, and adapt to these changes. In this video, Steve, Co-Owner of Factory Optical, shares the story behind our company – our origins, our craft, and the milestones that have shaped Factory Optical into what it is today. |
